Park day

Today the family went out without any plans. I knew I wanted to go to Salvation Army but that’s all I knew. At the last minute, I decided to make a quick turn towards Arnold Park. On this lovely December day, temperatures reached the 50’s.

The boys had a fun time climbing all over the playground.

We watched the ducks/geese for a little bit while the sun set.

This would have been great if the boys would have kept their eyes open.

This unexpected park trip turned into a fun afternoon!

One more day of (slightly) warm weather tomorrow before it gets cold. We will make sure to take advantage of it!

Step in time

The great thing about St. Louis is that it seems to have a lot of free activities throughout the year. We are cheap, we love free! The Muny is just one of those things that I like to do every year. Just once and just in the free seats. I am not much of a theater person (especially if I’ve already seen the movie.) I just tend to leave the theater saying “yeah, it was okay but the movie was better.” But I do love the experience.

This year’s experience was great. Great friends, great weather, great food. I will say that the show itself is not what I would classify as “great.”

I was looking forward to seeing Mary Poppins at the Muny all summer. Little did I know it would be changed so much from the original story line. The actors did a great job, but I just was not a fan of all the added songs and a drastic change to the story.

We had a fun time, even with the multiple trips to the bathroom with the boys.
