It’s been two weeks since we met our baby girl. I wish I could pause life right now because the first month is my favorite (sans the sleepless nights–but still, so worth it!) Yesterday I shared Clementine’s birth story. Today I wanted to share some of my favorite pictures (from our DSLR) that have been taken over the past couple of weeks. I would love to have legit newborn pictures, taken by a professional (because have you ever taken pictures of a newborn? Not the easiest!) but I’m also happy to have the ones we do have.
So enjoy this picture heavy post, starting with our day at the hospital.
Cutest clementine garland that I ordered from Hooray Everyday.
The first time all of her siblings got to meet her. It was a bit chaotic in that tiny hospital room, but they were all so excited for the chance to hold her. Except Desmond. He is about 50/50 with her. He just gave her a kiss for the first time the other day. But I’m pretty sure he’d rather just have me send her back to the hospital.
One of the first of many (thousands) of pokes in her face. Such love.
A very real family photo. Desmond pushing away this terrible baby creature that his mommy is holding, Don getting on to Kingston for doing who knows what, and Evangeline being a 3 year old.
A slight improvement.
I really wanted some pictures of Clementine in front of this flower wall. It took two separate days and multiple attempts. She was not having it and you can see it in a few of the pictures.
Does this one (below) remind anyone else of the Lion King?
And why even name your daughter Clementine if you don’t do a bunch photo shoots with clementines? I mean, c’mon.
This one cracks me up. I feel like she’s looking at me like “this is my life now?” Chaos.
(Not posed! This is how he looks at her!!)
And a fun little “before and after” that I did of the pregnancy announcement and birth announcement.
Have a good week and bear with me a little longer as I obsess over this new little life!
